When you purchase software, you are purchasing a license to use the software, rather than outright ownership of the software. It’s an important issue to understand. Aquilon gives you the choice of multiple licensing options, and the ability to change easily from one licensing option to another at minimal cost and without interrupting your business.
Licensing options are:
A traditional licensing option where the software runs on your server at your premises. Under this model, you pay an initial software license fee plus an annual license fee that includes upgrades to the latest version of the software.
Similar to the on premise model, you pay an initial software license fee and an annual license fee, but in this case, the software runs hardware provided by a service provider in the service provider’s premises. In this case, you buy the software license from Aquilon, and rent the servers from a service provider. You are however responsible for the costs of the PCs, peripherals and connectivity required to access the software application from your premises. Aquilon works through only “Tier One” providers for hosting your systems. For more information be sure to contact us.
Software-As-A Service [SAAS]
With the SAAS model, you are renting the software and hardware services based on the number of users that access the system. The monthly rental cost includes all the software license fees, software updates and the rental of the server space and time. You are however responsible for the PCs, peripherals, and connectivity required to access the software application from your premises.
